"Where caring comes straight from the heart"

Established in 1994

Family Owned & Operated

Hugs updateS:

Hello Hugs families,

We are so disheartened that the governor did not clarify any dates for us today during his press conference. We understand that he is taking every precaution to keep everyone safe, and we appreciate his effort to put the best practices into place before making decisions. Because he did not make any changes to the pandemic license, we will proceed under this license with a 1 to 6 ratio in each classroom space.

FOR THE WEEK OF MAY 18th-22nd

If you need to attend this week, you must return the Pandemic Enrollment Addendum  and Essential Employee Verification by WEDNESDAY 5/13/20. If you have not returned this paperwork by Wednesday, you CAN NOT attend. Hours of operation 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM for the week of May 18th, regular hours 6:30 AM -6:15 PM will resume Week of May 26th.

FOR THE WEEK OF MAY 26th-29th

If you wish to start this week, please complete the following steps:

1). Complete the Pandemic Enrollment Addendum for each of your children.

2). Provide Essential Employee Verification based on Governor Dewine’s current Stay-at-Home  Order. . Letters from employers, photocopies of badges, and paystubs are all suggested forms of verification. Business cards are, unfortunately, not an accepted form.

3). Return these forms in an attachment to BOTH hugsearlylearning@aol.com and hugshumanresources@aol.com.

4). In the subject line, please write Child(ren) name PANDEMIC INFO MAY 26.

5). In the body of the email, please list your child(ren)’s classroom and days of attendance.

The paperwork for children returning on 5/26/20 is due Wednesday May, 20th.

Please understand that under this pandemic license, we are restricted in our capacity. If there are more children who wish to attend than we have capacity for, priority will be given to the children of healthcare workers and first responders, and then roll to the next people in line. After priority enrollment, spots will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. We know that many of you are considered essential in many different lines of work. You are encouraged to submit your paperwork, as we hope to accommodate all of families in need. Please do not send in paperwork on a “just in case” basis.

For families who do not qualify for attendance under the pandemic license but do wish to return when we are able to operate at a higher capacity, the only thing we can tell you is to hold tight. At this time, we don’t have enough information to answer your questions about hold fees or tuition. If you have already contacted us with questions about hold fees or tuition, we have made note of these questions. We promise to get you information as soon as possible.

We know that you have A LOT more questions, and we regret that we can’t answer more questions. If Governor Dewine gives us more information in his press conferences this week, we will update this as soon as we can.

Please thoroughly read all of the information included below:

   * Health & Safety protocols

         * Tuition for week of May 18th

Thank you for being part of the Hugs-n-Hearts family!

Welcome to Hugs-n-Hearts!

Thank you for visiting our website!

Children are my passion and for as long as I can remember, I have always dreamt of having the opportunity to do what I love. My dream came true on April 22, 1994 and I opened the doors of Hugs-n-Hearts ELC. I have been the owner and on-site director for 25 years. Hugs-n-Hearts is privately owned and family operated. We were one of the very first businesses to open in the Polaris area. Teddy bears lined the hallways and smiling teachers waited in the doorways to welcome the first of over 4500 students to join our family. Hugs-n-Hearts was designed and built with the Polaris community in mind. We are a full-day, educational child care program designed for working parents.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and have over 30 years of administrative and teaching experience in the early child care field. My three children grew up at Hugs-n-Hearts and I'm so proud to now work alongside them every day. I love watching my children teaching others and seeing their growing passion for this field. Together we are shaping the future of Hugs-n-Hearts.

We believe that each child deserves the VERY BEST! One of the many reasons Hugs-n-Hearts excels is our staff. Our collaborative team works to make sure your child reaches their full potential. At Hugs-n-Hearts our staff becomes family.  We look forward to your family joining ours.

SINCERELY,
